Juan Manuel Ocampo is a Colombian interpreter, translator, and proofreader. With a degree in Pedagogy, he has been working as an interpreter since 2012, gaining extensive experience in simultaneous, consecutive, and liaison interpreting across a wide variety of fields and settings. Based in Brazil, he has taught Spanish since 2010 and has served as an official DELE examiner since 2014. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Artistic Storytelling in Urban Contexts, through which he explores new forms of communication and intercultural expression. His career includes transcultural experiences in Chile, Argentina, and China, which broadened his worldview and enriched his work as a linguistic and cultural mediator. He also develops translation and proofreading projects in diverse areas, always striving for clarity, precision, and cultural sensitivity. Juan Manuel has been part of The Drake team since August 2025.
